Thames Ridge District Conference 2018 – Sunday 14th October

This exciting new event is a chance for all adults in Thames Ridge Scouts to get together to meet other volunteers in Scouting, to learn from them and to share ideas.

The morning session will be focused on Group Executive members, looking at your responsibilities as a Trustee (including GDPR) and providing an opportunity for faciliated discussions with other people in your role.

The afternoon session is targeted at leaders, assistant leaders and sectional assistants from all sections. We plan to have sessions on

  • the #SkillsForLife vision for the next five years
  • inclusion and reasonable adjustment
  • mental health awareness
  • recruitment
  • GDPR (of course!)

Over a light lunch both morning and afternoon delegates can meet and chat, and there will be an informal social following the conference to which everyone is invited.

You are of course welcome to attend both sessions – please book an ‘all day’ ticket below.

If you’re in a Supporter Role (AAC, Scout Active Support, Adviser, Skills Instructor etc) and want to learn more about other roles and how you can even better support them, then please book on to the session(s) that interest you.

Please register for the conference here.
